Vanilla Chocolate Fondue

Prep time: 15 mins

Serves: 4

Ingredients

- 100g Milk Chocolate

- 200g Dark Chocolate

- 150g Double Cream

- 1 Vanilla Pod

Method

- Halve the vanilla pod length ways with a small sharp knife, and scrape out the seeds.

- Place the vanilla pod, seeds and double cream in a saucepan and slowly bring to the boil. Ensure you stir the cream regularly as it will catch on the bottom of the pan easily.

- Break up your chocolate and place in a large heat-proof mixing bowl or pot, making sure there is plenty of room for the cream.

- Pour over the hot cream and stir until the chocolate is fully melted into a thick vanilla fondue.

- Keep the fondue warm over a pot of steaming water (a bain marie) whilst you dip in all your fondue favourites. Honeycomb, fruits, marshmallows and biscuits work well.

- Enjoy!

Chef’s tip: Place the left over fondue in the fridge to set. Then one firm, spoon and roll into balls. (it’s a messy job). You can coat these in coco powder, or leave plain. Serve on a plate and you have vanilla chocolate truffles.
