Ingredients

- 2 Baguettes (sliced)
- 1kg Rib Eye Steak
- 1 Onion
- 1 Green Pepper
- Black Pepper (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- 8 slices of American Cheese
- 50g Salted Butter
- 1 clove of Garlic

Method

- Cut your steak into large chucks and season well with salt and pepper. Place in the freezer for 1-2 hours until firm.
- Slice your onion and pepper and fry on a high heat with salt and pepper until charred. Set aside.
- Cool the same pan to a medium heat. Then add the butter and garlic until foaming.
- Douse your baguettes in the garlic butter, and lightly toast.
- Take your steak from the freezer and thinly slice each chunk. Heat your pan over a high heat until almost smoking.
- Place the steak slices in the pan on a high heat. Mix and leave to caramelise. Next, add your charred onions and peppers. Bring all the ingredients together into a mound the same size as your baguette.
- Put the cheese slices over the mound, and cover with a lid .Continue to cook undisturbed over a medium heat for 2 mins until the meat is brown and crisp around the edge and the cheeses have melted.
- Scoop the meat and cheese mixture into your toasted garlic butter baguette, finish with salt & pepper, close, & ENJOY!
